  1. Greetings to all golfers alike..amateurs and pros. Finally, golf season can officially begin. With that said, I have a few comments..
Please, please, please...let us move on as humanity.
I love Tiger just as much as the next person. He's a great golfer. But I didn't fall in love with him because of his personal life. I look up to him for his abilities, his drive to improve the game, his giving back and stewardship. Everyone now knows of his mistakes, as big as they are, strictly because of the media and their insatiable appetites to destroy anyone's reputation soley based on how big and often they report on it. Obviously, a huge persona like Woods drives that as well so it becomes a chicken and egg arguement. However, I digress. It is his PERSONAL life. Leave him alone and forgive him as much as he asks for. Certainly no one will ever forget it, because how can we now, but for Christs sake people, he's a human being. I cheated on my girlfriend in college, and I vowed I would never do it again, especially as guilty and pain-staking as it was. We broke up...I actually ended it because I felt that guilty being with her. And no, I didn't ever see that other girl again. Every girlfriend since has known that because I admitted it openly, but it has never come in the way of moving on, nor did it make the golf channel, or every other news network for that matter, and I would have been pissed because it's no one's business.
I'm watching the golf channel and I'm about to turn it off because there's been interviews with Padraig Harrington and now Stewart Cink, and everyone in the room can't help themselves but to ask questions to them about Tiger. Tiger this...Tiger that! Damnit! Get over it. How about...let's focus on the person in the room being interviewed. What they did...what they feel the golf course has to offer this year! How about the new driving range? It's a new day, a new month even, and a totally different decade actually.
Let's be excited it's the Masters! Get over yourselves and your selfish, nosey, gossip-driven, attitudes. It's old.
